Success of participation and a lot of excitement in the 3rd. Can Mir Inclusive Football Tournament
On February 27, a wonderful day was lived in Can Mir, where the protagonists were children with functional diversity who enjoyed football passionately.
The attendance was massive; the event with the most participation in the history of the Club. More than 300 people, including athletes, families, institutional representatives, entities, volunteers and the general public, enjoyed an unforgettable day.
The athletes of the teams of the entity (Infantil-Cromosuma, Infantil-RubíTEA, and Senior DF), and the Invencibles of Sant Cebrià de Vallalta - Maresme-, and the UDV Guerreros de Viladecans (Infantil and Senior - Baix Llobregat-), played 5 games that delighted everyone.
Although we consider that the champions are all, the Tournament had the following awards:
- Champion – Senior CEF Can Mir–Horitzo.
- Runner-up – Senior UDV Guerreros de Viladecans "A"
- Champion – Infantil UDV Guerreros de Viladecans "B"
- Runner-up – Infantil CEF Can Mir-Cromosuma
- 3rd classified – Infantil CEF Can Mir-RubíTEA
- 4art. classified – Infantil Invencibles Sant Cebrià
As we said before, the day was very intense in emotions and, although we were aware of it, it was shown that for the participating children the fact of playing matches has a very positive emotional and mood impact. Of the 6 participating teams, for 4 it was the first time that beyond training they played a football match. Eusebi, a member of the Catalan Football Federation, took over the arbitration of the five matches; a referee with many years of veterans and who did an impressive pedagogical and technical task with the players.
We appreciate and highlight the assistance of representatives of all municipal groups of the Consistory, as well as others that do not have institutional representation. We value it as very relevant and a recognition of the representatives of the people towards the work we do at CEF Can Mir. Also, and especially, the Mayor of Rubí, Anna Maria Martínez and the members of the municipal government team, with which we had the opportunity to share the evolution of our entity, our projects, our shortcomings and needs, and the aspects related to the development of the project to improve the facilities of the ZEM Can Mir, a dream that is gradually becoming a reality.
For CEF Can Mir this event was an opportunity to show that, being a modest entity in resources, we can make the #FutbolPerATothom a reality", and we encourage other entities to have a firm commitment to the most vulnerable people, beyond the record or strictly sporting issues. We are starting to become a benchmark for inclusive and inclusive football in our country, but we would like to be one more.
The day also served to test our entity. The capacity of the call and the high participation, the attention we offered to our visitors, or the seriousness and organizational solvency that we have carried out before and during the event, we believe that they have been the keys to the success of this edition of the Inclusive Football Tournament. All this would not have been possible without the collaboration of our volunteers, who have done a commendable, enthusiastic task, and worthy of acknowledging and thanking us that make us even more Club.
